Professional Experience in International Commercial Arbitration (Experience as Chairman / Sole Arbitrator / Co-Arbitrator / Party Representative)

He has acted as Counsel and as Arbitrator in many arbitration proceedings over the years, in particular in arbitrations pursuant to the Rules of the ICC, UNCITRAL, of the Zurich Arbitration Chamber and of the Milan Arbitration Chamber. He is presently serving as party-appointed arbitrator in an ad hoc proceeding and was recently appointed Chairman by the Milan Arbitration Chamber in another proceeding.

Professional Experience in China related Matters

He has been involved in the preparation of an arbitration in Hong Kong. He has often relationships with clients, parties and professionals between Italy and China, in particularly Shanghai, where his firm maintains a permanent associate in the Eversheds local office.

He specialises in the pharmaceutical industry, among others, and has often been involved in arbitration for pharmaceutical clients.

Author of various publications in Italian and English, among which the treatise “L’arbitrato commerciale negli Stati Uniti d’America e suoi rapporti con l’ordinamento italiano” (Commercial arbitration in the U.S.A. and its relationship with Italian arbitration), Milan, Giuffrè, 1974 and the Italian chapter in the book “EU Banking and Insurance Insolvency”, edited by Moss and Wessels, Oxford University Press, 2006.
