The Advisory Board of the Chinese European Arbitration Centre has the competence to decide on amendments of the CEAC Hamburg Arbitration Rules, with due respect to the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules which are the basis of the CEAC Hamburg Arbitration Rules. It will consist of a panel of renowned international arbitrators (this panel will be further supplemented during the first months after the creation of CEAC).
The first version of the CEAC Hamburg Arbitration Rules has been decided upon by the General Assembly of CEAC at its founding meeting according to a special power granted until constitution of the Advisory Board. The version agreed upon is the result of an international discussion with numerous supporters between October 2007 and August 2008.
