The Chinese European Arbitration Centre Hamburg GmbH has an Advisory Board. The Advisory Board consists of a Chairman, two Deputy Chairmen and up to twelve additional members plus the members of the Board of the Chinese European Legal Association e.V. (CELA).
The composition of the Advisory Board reflects the different regions of the world and the organisations which have a particular interest in the aims and objectives of CEAC. The Advisory Board shall consist of experts in the field of arbitration and/or arbitration management. Members of the Advisory Board are elected for a period of four years.
The Advisory Board advises the Management on issues of arbitration management. The Advisory Board determines the “Hamburg Arbitration Rules for the Chinese European Arbitration Centre in Hamburg” and the “Schedule of Costs”. Furthermore, the Advisory Board can express its opinion on any other issues regarding the business of the company.
The Advisory Board does not take any active part in the decisions on the substance of a case.
The Advisory Board shall be established by decision of the General Assembly within six months after registration of the Chinese European Arbitration Centre GmbH in the Companies’ Register.
