End May 2012, CEAC appointed its first Secretary General. Christine Heeg used to be a long time managing director carrying out the operative business of CEAC. She now represents the arbitral institution as such and accomplishes all functions accorded to this office in the Statutes for the Chinese European Arbitration Centre and in the CEAC Hamburg Arbitration Rules.
