CEAC has an Advisory Board which consists of a Chairman, two Deputy Chairmen and up to twelve additional members. It is augmented by the members of the CEAA Board.
The composition of the Advisory Board reflects the different regions of the world and the organisations which have a particular interest in the aims and objectives of CEAC. The Advisory Board consists of experts in the field of arbitration and/or arbitration management. Members of the Advisory Board are elected for a period of four years.
The Advisory Board advises the Management on issues of arbitration management. It determines the "Hamburg Arbitration Rules for the Chinese European Arbitration Centre in Hamburg" and the "Schedule of Costs". Furthermore, the Advisory Board is allowed to express its opinion on any other issue regarding the business of CEAC.
The Advisory Board does not take any active part in the decisions on the substance of a case.
