Arbitration in China: A legal & cultural analysis and institutional responses


Shearman & Sterling LLP's Asia-interest inclusion network, AVALANCHE, and the Young Professionals' Organization of the Chinese European Arbitration Centre ("Young CEAC") cordially invite you to an evening event focusing on international arbitrations with a Chinese nexus.

Kun Fan (Assistant Professor, Chinese University of Hong Kong; visiting scholar, Harvard Yenching Institute, Harvard University) will present on the topic "Arbitration in China: A Legal and Cultural Analysis."

Anna Tevini (Shearman & Sterling LLP, New York; Speaker, Young CEAC) will speak about the Chinese European Arbitration Centre, the first international arbitration institution outside China specifically tailored to administer disputes with a Chinese nexus.

Refreshments will be served following the presentations.

The program has been approved for newly-admitted and experienced lawyers. Attendees will receive approximately 1.0 New York Professional Practice credit and 1.0 General California credit.
